Why Do People Think Model Kits Are Just For Kids?

I was having a conversation with one of my friends the other day when I mentioned I wanted to pop into the local model kits store and picking myself up one of their kits to see if I had the patience to put something like that together. He immediately burst out laughing and started to call me a little kid and that I should do something a lot better with my time. I have to say that I was slightly frustrated with this so I decided to investigate whether or not it was common mistakes for people think that model kits were for kids.

When I was looking across the net it would seem that so many people are angered by this because a model takes a great deal of time and skill to put together and if you are just the average person putting together a model in an afternoon I can understand why you would be annoyed.

If you take a look at some of the models that are out there on the market you will actually see that there is no way a child is going to be able to put together one of them and sometimes it is even true to say this if the parent is helping them do it too. Some of the Revell Kits and Tamiya are very hard indeed to pop together but if you look art the end result it is worth it.

So the next time you are thinking that model kits are simply there for children I would advise you actually buy one of the professional kits and lay it in front of your kid to see if they can manage it, what are the bets that they cannot?
