The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set
A big part of what set The Beatles apart from most other groups in the early ’60s was that they were songwriters. Eight of the fourteen songs on their debut 1963 album, Please Please Me were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Below I’ll take a closer look at those eight McCartney/Lennon (as they were known then) originals. Read the rest of this entry »

The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set
The Beatles aren’t a “best of” kind of group. You can’t order just the “best of” album and be done with the lads from Liverpool. In fact, I think many of their best songs were not their number one hits but actually were their more adventurous recordings such as “Strawberry Fields Forever.”
If you really want to understand The Beatles amazing music you must hear their CDs as a whole rather than just listening to a song here and a song there. Read the rest of this entry »

The Beatles Remasters on Vinyl
Posted by Admin in Uncategorized on January 5th, 2010
Many music lovers strongly feel that vinyl LPs are the ultimate way to listen to an album. These people believe there is just a certain magic to watching the “black circle” (to quote Eddie Vedder) spin and knowing that the amazing sound you are listening to is coming from a needle in the record’s groove.
It is this “magic feeling” (to quote “You Never Give Me Your Money” that has Beatles addicts very excited about the rumors of The Beatles remasters (which have sold extremely well on CD) making their way to vinyl records in 2010. Read the rest of this entry »
With The Beatles (1963) Review
Posted by Admin in Uncategorized on December 12th, 2009
With The Beatles (1963) is definitely not not the best Beatles studio album, in fact I think it’s probably their worst non Yellow Submarine studio album. But that isn’t to imply I do not thoroughly enjoy listening to this early album in it’s new glorious remastered format nor is it to imply that this album does not have any good tunes on it because that’s not the case.
I do think that when looking at only the eight original songs on the album, it is likely the worst collection of originals the band ever released on an LP (the underrated Beatles For Sale has a much better collection of eight original songs in my opinion) on the other hand, the covers on With The Beatles are quite good (superior to the covers on Beatles For Sale, which was their fourth album.)
My most favorite original songs to listen to on the With The Beatles Remastered CDs (mono and stereo) are the first three songs: “It Won’t Be Long,” “All I’ve Got To Do,” and “All My Loving.” Particularly, I have been enjoying song number two, “All I’ve Got To Do” in mono. Geoff Emerick’s Here, There, and Everywhere is maybe my most favorite Beatles related book. Why is that? Because it gives such a fascinating perspective on the recording of The Beatles legendary LPs. Read the rest of this entry »

Jamorama lessons for learning guitar are an extremely popular way to learn to play guitar because of a variety of reasons.
The biggest reason for buying Jamorama is probably how inexpensive it is to buy it when compared with the expense of paying for private guitar lessons. 12 months of guitar lessons from a private guitar teacher can run into thousands of dollars while Jamorama is available for a one time payment of $40. The Beatles in Stereo Remastered Box Set
The Beatles studio albums were originally remastered digitally and released on CD in the 1980s at that time mastering for CD was a new art and since the 80s a lot has been learned about how to do it best but most important is all of the many technological advances during that time.
The many advances in digital technology and all of the know how learned of how to most effectively remaster digitally have been put to very good use with the remastered Beatles releases of 2009. On September 9, 2009 The Beatles released both The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set and The Beatles Mono Box Set. Read the rest of this entry »
